01 _ Hello
I'm Saina
A Curious Designer
Who Thinks in Systems
I’m a UI/UX and product designer with 10+ years of experience turning complex problems into clear, human-centered solutions. From EV marine interfaces to wellness apps, I design with both craft and intention — and I co-authored UX Seeds, a field guide to design philosophy now in its fourth edition.
Graphic Design Work
My foundation in graphic design shapes how I approach every product problem — visual hierarchy, identity systems, and the logic that makes an interface feel coherent rather than assembled. I’ve led standalone brand work for clients in clean energy, nonprofit, and B2B, including full identity systems from positioning through production. This background isn’t separate from my product design practice. It’s what makes it more precise.
I am a Multidisciplinary Design Professional with a passion for branding and design.
I love logo design, I create visually compelling identities that resonate with audiences.always following the trends to ensure my work is fresh, modern, and impactful.

I’ve spent over a decade designing products that had to work — not just look good. Healthcare platforms. EV interfaces. Wellness apps. SaaS tools. Across seven industries, the through-line has always been the same: understand the system, find where design creates real leverage, and execute with precision from discovery to delivery. I work as a senior product designer and design lead — owning the full arc of a product: strategy, UX, systems design, and team alignment. I’ve been the sole designer in the room and the lead coordinating across engineering, product, and executives. When the problem is complex and the stakes are real, that’s where I do my best work.
How I Work
My background started in graphic design. That foundation matters — it means I never stopped caring about the details most people don’t consciously notice but always feel: visual hierarchy, type, the logic of a layout. Over time, that evolved into systems thinking: understanding how a product works as a whole, where the friction lives, and where a single well-placed decision changes everything downstream. I’ve led work at every stage. I’ve run discovery sessions with C-suite stakeholders, built design systems that engineering teams actually adopted, and redesigned onboarding flows that moved retention numbers. The work isn’t about any single deliverable — it’s about having the judgment to know which deliverable matters most, and when. Beyond practice, I co-authored UX Seeds: Design Beyond the Surface — a UX philosophy book now in its fourth edition. It explores how designers develop judgment, not just craft.
[ About ]
I’m Saina Salamipour
— a product and UI/UX designer with over 10 years of experience working across healthcare, clean energy, and consumer technology. My background started in graphic design, which means I care deeply about craft
— the visual clarity, the hierarchy, the details that most people don’t notice but always feel. Over time, that evolved into a practice centered on systems thinking: understanding how a product works end-to-end, and where design can make a meaningful difference for the people using it. I’ve led projects from early research through final delivery
— including touchless screen interfaces for the EV marine industry, onboarding redesigns for wellness apps, and full brand and eCommerce builds for nonprofit organizations. Beyond client work, I’m the co-author of UX Seeds: Design Beyond the Surface
— a UX philosophy book now in its fourth edition, exploring how designers can think more deeply about the work they make and why it matters. I’m based in Vancouver and open to product design roles and select freelance collaborations.
